This year we are adding some new classes to the Fall schedule.
For our youngest dancers we will be offering a combo class. 20 minutes of Ballet, 20 minutes of Highland, and 20 minutes of Tap. This will be a fun, fast moving class. The dancers will learn basics in all three dance forms.
We will also have Ballet and Tap classes for all ages. We are excited to be adding Tap and Ballet for those interested.
Stretch and Strengthening classes. This is a class geared to focus on Strengthening the core muscles that we use for dance. Having good strong muscles are important for dance. We will also be stretching. Stretching is so important, we will be covering when to stretch and how to stretch. Flexibility and strength is the focus of this class.
Highland dancing, we will be offering classes for all ages and levels. We will be doing performances through the year and also competitions.
If you would like more information on any of our classes please contact me at murphyhighland@gmail.com

Saint Patricks day performance

We were very lucky on St. Patricks day! We danced at a nursing home in the area and we're blessed to have a wonderful audience. We also had the good fortune to have the MaGuire Academy of Irish dance come and join us for the performance! The Irish dancers did some traditional Irish dances. The Highland dancers did some traditional Highland dances and a few non Traditional. And we threw in a country dance or two from each country. We all had fun dancing and the lovely people welcomed us and were such a delight to dance for the dancers look forward to when they can go back and dance for them!
