First day of a two day competition

Well we have completed the first day of our two day competition. The North Texas Highland Games has been wonderful this year! We are dancing under a huge tent so we are not dealing with sunburns and such, we even had chairs and tables to sit at while watching the dancing!

I am so proud of all our dancers today ,what a great job each one of them did! All of our dancers won something! Luke won his age group trophy, well done, your hard work has paid off! And congrats to Carmen who competed for the first time~ she won 2 first places and 2 second places! Way to go!

Enjoyed spending the day with my dancers and their families, so proud of each and every one of them!  I am lucky to know you all! What a great group of people!

Now on to today's competition, the dancers will be dancing the national dances today, Lilt, Flora, Blue Bonnets, and the Sailors Hornpipe. If you go please come by and say "hi" we would love to visit with you . Good Luck Dancers!

I'll try and post pic soon!

We will be performing at Rogers Elementary School in Frisco this Friday.
They are teaching the Kindergarten and First grade about Scotland. A piper
will be there to pipe for them and the we will dance for them. And then there
will be a parade around the school lead by the piper. It sounds like a fun day for our dancers.
I will try to post photos as soon as I can.
