Welcome 2011!

We welcome 2011!

Our dancers need to get there FUSTA papers downloaded and filled out.
Please remember that they are due soon. If you are renewing your card and will be in the same level you will not need to send in a photo as they will be placing this years sticker on the same card. If you are changing levels you will need to send in your fully stamped card and a new photo. If you are getting a card for the first time congratulations! I will need to sign each dancers paper work so please bring it to class next week.

Robert Burn's who is he and why is he celebrated this month? If you can answer these questions please share them this week or next in your class.

This month our younger dancers are working on being able to sing their dances as well as dance them. Quite a talent! Please remember to keep singing! And dance with your fingers as well as your toes!

Our Beginner II , Novice, Intermediate and Premier classes, we are gearing up for competitions coming in the spring so it's practice, practice, practice. This is our time to polish and work on stamina. If you have questions on what you should be doing at home please ask.

Happy New Year! And happy dancing!

What a busy time we have had!

We recently did two performances at the State Fair of Texas.
The weather was beautiful! Sunshiny with a breeze, can't ask for
nicer weather to dance in! We danced at the international stage.

We are gearing up for the Highland dance competition at Salado
Texas. Looking forward to some great dancing, wonderful friends,
and fun shopping! So if you will be in the Salado area this weekend
come by and say Hi.

Good Luck to all our dancers! Dance hard, point hard, smile and
have fun!

Back from the Longs Peak competition.

We are back from the beautiful Longs Peak Scottish Festival.
I can't think of a more beautiful place to hold a dance competition!
Estes Park Colorado in early September is a little piece of heaven
on earth in my opinion. The dancing was great, it was wonderful
to see so many Highland dancers participating in the morning! Congratulations
to Meagan Murphy for placing in her Lilt and Flora she danced well
and got her last stamp of Novice and now she's off to intermediate!
Good luck in the future Meagan!

We will be dancing at the regular times this week. Our competition
class has moved from Saturdays to Thursday so don't forget this week!

We are getting ready for our performance at the State Fair of Texas.
Look for us there on October 9th 5:10 and again at 6:40.

What a great first week

It is so good to see everyone again! Dance classes went really well this week, I am glad to see
that everyone still remembered their steps after our little break.:)

It is time to get working hard, we will be preforming at the State Fair again this year.
It is always a joy to perform at the State Fair, there is so much to see and do. We will
need to get polished up and ready. And hopefully it won't rain as it did last year.:)

We will be switching the Intermediate - Premier class to Tuesday nights after the Beginner-
Novice class. Please check the calendar.
